Estwald/D_Skywalk/Miralatijera have released Iris Manager v2.45

IrisManager is a port of HermesManager based on PSLIGHT, Tiny3D, PS3Soundlib and OpenPS3FTP, is a completly legal open code manager Made with Homebrew tools.

Supports the custom firmwares: 3.41 (Hermes), 3.55 (Kmeaw), 4.21 & 4.30 CEX (with LV1 access, like Rogero or Rebug), 4.31 CFW, 4.21 DEX, 4.40 CEX MLT and 4.41CFW.

Changelog 2.45:

1) Added German as a language (thanks toto67)

2) New update: Simplified and Traditional Chinese (thanks Liqianyu)

3) Fixed a bug that disabled the games stored on external USB disk with bigfile stored in internal HDD (in cache). We have included a small correction for those games that do not have more than one cached bigfile. Also added warning if the game is launched with BD Emu ON (there is an inconsistency between games using cache and BD Emu)

4) Added a number of improvements to the FTP server: now warns if you exit the application (attention, if you exit with PS button will not warn) and the FTP is performing a delete function, reading, writing … covering up to 10 seconds from the start of the operation.

There was also added some error messages to know in what function fails if the network is not started or misconfigured and other changes.

5) Added a new thread manager to perform background tasks, such as icons reload, so now it is not done at once, instead it’s done staggered. With this improvement, the program gains agility when changing pages.

6) Some users have reported that REX Rebug 4.21.2 CFW does not work the event when you press the PS button, so the old method for this firmware have been reverted.

To mount with Disc-Less it is needed to plugging a device to force an event right in the process that should receive. For that, it is necessary to know the Event ID before, but users are not reporting the ID or I could be using one that does not work (in 4.21.2 it’s being used an ID that I found)

For this reason it would be desirable to send me the Event ID generated when you plug a USB device for each firmware to know them.

How to change language:

To change language just go to the main menu, press square, then triangle till you find your language. This is the order of the langs EN,PT,SP,IT,FR,DE,RU,NL

* Updated Showtime for mM to 04.03.211

* Updated PS1 Emulator (ps1_emu.self) to 4.41 (it will be used on 4.40 and 4.41 CFWs)

* Updated PS1_NET Emulator (ps1_netemu.self) to 4.41 (it will be used on 4.40 and 4.41 CFWs)

Now mM will use ps1_emu/ps1_netemu from 4.41OFW (patched of course) when launching PS1 ISO/BIN+CUE backups if your PS3 is running 4.40CFW/4.41CFW. I didn’t change the mM version, but if you wish better PS1 backups compatibility and newer Showtime – update to this BASE version.

You can install this version either from scratch or update any installed mM version.

Instead we keep a reference to where in the MKV file the attachment
is located and we can later open a slice of the mkv-file as the attachment.

This combined with the fact that freetype can open fonts from a file
handle reduces the static memory use for attachments to 0 bytes

Fixes #1689 (out of memory (av error -12) with certain MKV files)

Initial attempt of a built-in FTP client in Showtime

To use it enter 'ftp://ip.address.of.ftpserver' in search bar
or create a bookmark (much like the CIFS/SMB client)

Note that the code has only been tested against a few FTP servers
so it's probably still buggy. If you find any problems and want
to report please turn on "FTP logging" in settings:dev and include
the logfile in ticket.

deroad has released PSChannel v1.09.

This version will bring some improvements like allow fast translations of the homebrew.

Now you can install a theme or a translation easily and choose the pkg to download. in this way if you are on 3.55, you can install the 3.55 version, if on dex, the DEX/unsigned version, etc..

INSTALL A THEME
To install a Theme for PSChannel, you need to create a zip with the modified edj files and place the zip in the root folder of a usbkey; then you only need to go into ‘info’ and press triangle and it will install the theme. The zip MUST be called ‘psc_theme.zip‘.

TRANSLATE THE HOMEBREW
Translating the homebrew is quite easy. you only need a notepad that reads unix text files and translate it. PSChannel will read lines, so you can use spaces as you want. to install the files, you need to put the Categories.txt and/or Lang.txt into the root folder of a usb and go into ‘info’ and press triangle. it will install all the files.

You will find opium theme and the original Categories.txt and Lang.txt links at the end of the news.

deank has released multiMAN v04.18.04 update.

The bug about skipping 1-letter filenames is present in versions 04.17.00/01/02/03/04/05, 04.18.00/01/02/03 so if you’re on one of these versions deank strongly suggests that you update to 04.18.04. Thanks to GotIt4Free for sounding the alarm.

There are some other changes/improvements, too.

p.s. Have in mind that the change/fix for checking if games require higher firmware will make mM scan (“Verifying data…”) your games at least once.
