Not only will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare be getting a sequel, but it’ll be getting a miniture, probably water-down, version for the DS. It’ll be titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized and be developed by n-Space. It’ll include online mode with 5 friends and feature “building-to-building combat.” FPS’s usually don’t do so well on said console but with the Modern Warfare name, it could be nice. Hopefully the graphics won’t be too choppy.

Seems like everyone’s jumping on the Facebook bandwagon these days. It’s weird how the developer’s haven’t noticed the Twitter craze yet except on the 360… Anyways, 1.4 comes out tonight at 8:00 PM EST and all it adds is Facebook intigration and “Faster Image Processing Speeds.” Still no word if this update has any anti-piracy measures.

Easy Piano is coming out from Namco in November this year with a little something cool- A piano peripheral! It’ll help you learn to play the piano if you’re just starting or if you’re an already experienced pianist, you can play from a list of ‘classics.’ It would be interesting if there was a mode for free play. No word yet on that. It’s pretty cool looking but looks like you need the GBA slot to use it. Sucks for those with the DSi…

Seems like everyone’s jumping on the Facebook bandwagon these days. It’s weird how the developer’s haven’t noticed the Twitter craze yet except on the 360… Anyways, Japan’s got a new update for the DSi today for 1.4 and all it adds is Facebook intigration and “Faster Image Processing Speeds.” During E3 2009, Nintendo noted that this update wouldn’t come until fall for the U.S. and other regions. Not too sure when exactly or if this update has any anti-piracy measures.

Could the DS be getting Assassin’s Creed 2: Discovery on November 20th? Is it a sequal to the first version for the DS? Ubisoft hasn’t made an announcement yet and refuses to comment. Sounds kinda fishy to me but it’s on Play.com and other websites floating around. It’ll be interesting to see if this rumor is bogus or not.

I’ve been waiting for the day that Nintendo brings the Mii’s over to the DS or DSi but I have the feeling that day will never come. Portuguese coder coincoin decided to step up to the challenge and released NdsMiiMaker for the DS. Right now it’s only v0.1 so don’t expect too much out of it. You can create your own Mii using a lot of facial features that the coder included. I expect even more from this program in the coming updates.

Do you know what VNC is? You don’t?! Why not? It’s awesome!
Okay, what this program does is let you control your PC using your DS over WiFi. You can do this with the iPhone, PSP, and other computers. It can be pretty useful at times and fun to play around with. If this is something you’d be interested in, then go and download Remote Touch DS 0.2.2
It’s been updated to fix some minor bugs and glitches. Enjoy!

Believe it or not, but the R4 cards have been labled as “the scourge of Nintendo DS market”. For those of you who don’t exactly know what the R4 is, its a flash cart made for Nintendo DS and Ds Lite systems. You place the ROM’s that you would like to play on a Micro SD card, and place the SD card into the R4 unit, and lastly, place the R4 into your NDS or NDS Lite allowing you to play the games you have at your disposal. Its good for keeping those DS games in one convient location, making it easier to carry every game you have, whether you pay for them or not. But currently, a man named Andrew Mclennan, who is the CEO of Metaforic (which is a company that many other companies use as their safe guard in security) has been looking to make the R4 cards disapear from the world market.
He isn’t the only one either, Nintendo, in 2008, filed a lawsuit in Tokyo District Court in hopes to sever the use of R4. Metaforic itself has a role in Nintendo’s security as well, and is talked about in an article on Gamasutra.com, which is the source located right below. Take a gander if you want to know more about the exclusive interview with Andrew Mclennan on Gamesutra.

Even if you’re just a young squirt, you will feel old when you read this next sentence. In order to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of Pokemon Gold and Silver versions (GBC), Nintendo is in the works of producing remakes for them. Yes, it’s been 10 years. The games will be called Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
The details are few and far between at this point, but the fine folks at GBATemp have come up with some very nice scanned images of an issue of CoroCoro, a Japanese magezine. I highly encourage anyone who is interested to check out the scans on their website. The following “release hints” listed below are stolen directly from GBATemp.
Stay tuned to find out more about Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver as it comes in.

Competing with MoonShell 2.0 is a task that the EZ-Flash team are trying to overcome. This is yet another pre-alpha release of the 2.0 kernel which is very similar to MoonShell 2.0. Read/ write speeds are pretty nice for users testing out these cards so far, but many people are having problems as well. Many people are receiving 2mb read/ writes which is nice for the savestates and such. Only time and testing will prove whether this flash cart is a true hit or miss, but for now, it seems like a worthy flash cart, especially considering that it is a Pre-Alpha release for the new kernel.
