I think you need to downgrade your firmware to CFW 5.00 M33-6. That is the latest version that accepts homebrew games. Look through the tutorials on this forum about how to downgrade your firmware.
Stylin' with a "Phat" PSP CFW: 5.00 M33-6 w/Kernel 150 add-on 5.00

well not downgrade, but you need to install CFW

yea and if you have a customfirmware then you might need to format your memory in that psp when i got my 4gig i had to do this to play homebrew :?:

Easy steps :

1.Boot PSP OFW 5.00 in ChickHEN
2.Use helicats recovery flasher.

DONE!!
