Final Fantasy 9 disc 4 can't read saves.

hi guys, I have a question about FF9..

it seems that my disc 4 can't read the save games from Disc 3.

I've google-ed the problem and what I can see is that most of the scarce solution that I've found is that I need to have the same game ID for all of the game disc in order for the later disc to read the save from the previous disc.

apparently all of the disc have different ID yet disc 2 can read the save from disc 1, and disc 3 can read the save from disc 2..

...but when it comes to disc 4, the game just says that there is no FF9 save games.

is there anything I should do? In case you are wondering, these are my game's ID :

DISC 1 : SLUS-01251
DISC 2 : SLUS-01295
DISC 3 : SLUS-01296
DISC 4 : SLUS-01297

Can you find a disc 4 that has the same id as disc 3?

maybe your disc 4 s from a different set, and they all need to be from the same set? i dont know....


have you tried using an ISO image instead?

all I gotta do is change my game ID to SLUS 01251, the same game ID for disc 3 of the game, and WHAMMMMMM, I can finally load my disc 3 save games..

yet I'm still wondering, how did disc 2 loaded disc 1's saved game when disc 2 have a different ID from disc 1?

Hmm that's a weird glitch, I can't explain it but at least you got it working.

yeah, it's still a puzzle as to why does disc 2 and 3 can read the previous disc even though their ids are different...

does anyone else can explain such issue?

anyway, if any of you guys came across such issue on any of the multiboot games, try out this solutions...
