It is now working for all regions but for the EU regions, use this method to get it to work:
1) Rename the folder hbl/libs_6xx to hbl/libs .
2) Rename the file hbl/config/imports.config_6xx into hbl/config/imports.config .

E3 2010’s now officially behind us, and there was a ton to talk about. Between Nintendo announcing the 3DS, Sony showing off the Playstation Move, and Microsoft announcing the ’slimline’ XBox360, it was easy to overlook the actual games. Two have me very excited, though: One that was shown during Microsoft’s press conference, the other was actually released before E3, but its released was somewhat overshadowed by the big show.

Child Of Eden: The ’sequel’ of sorts to the cult-classic Dreamcast (and now XBLA) title ‘Rez’, Child of Eden is a game that’s not so much about the challenge of boss battles or time trials, but a game about the experience. You ‘conduct’ the action on-screen, making amazing beats that are accompanied by beautiful HD visuals. It’ll work with Microsfot Kinect, Playstation Move, or a regular controller, so there’s no reason you should miss out on Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s upcoming masterpiece.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker: A full-fledged Metal Gear Solid, MGS: Peace Walker takes place several years after both Metal Gear Solid 3 and MGS: Portable Ops. In this installment, Big Boss is recruiting soldiers for Outer Heaven, which he considers a ‘paradise for soldiers’. Extremely lore-heavy, and remarkably well-directed for a handheld title, Peace Walker doesn’t disappoint, and any Metal Gear fan would be foolish to miss out.

The team behind JPCSP, a program for the PC that emulates the PSP, has released their newest build of their emulator. The project itself is starting to finally take a shape and form and is gaining in popularity with their recent success. There are a handful of titles now that are more or less 100% playable along with ones that are only half-playable or need the headers decrypted before getting them to work. The entire project is coded in java, so many people speculate the potential for this emulator, but it’s looking to be one of the first-emerging PSP emulators that gets the job done and has a good dev team behind it. Below are two download links, the first one being for 32 bit operating systems and the second for 64 bit. There is also a guide in their forum for linux users looking to run this on their computers.

Here’s a little piece of information that was first brought to my attention by brentbizzle from our forum. Ok, so check it. Greg from PSP-Hacks, the main administrator there, has confirmed that there is an exploit currently in development that works on all PSP models that can open the path to homebrew fully for all PSP users. This is a software method as well, so nobody would need to use a Pandora’s Battery anymore.

For now, there’s no files to download and no actual “proof”, but I hope you folks can trust me, DarkPacMan77, and I have faith that Greg at PSP-Hacks is a man of his word. The hack is unstable and is still being developed but is currently working and being debugged. An eLoader is even in development as well.

We’re terribly sorry for the recent downtime the site has incurred, but we’ve been hard at work to bring the site back up. We’ve had issues with a few things including hosting issues as well as a bit extra, which I’ve outlined in our forum, but we’re back now and we’re working hard towards being better than ever before. That news can be taken and posted up by a staff member, giving full credits to the user, of course, and will be a great way that the community can take part in making the site a better place.

So the latest firmware from Yoshihiro and the boys from the Gen team is out, released about 3 days ago, but we didn’t report on it because it had reported bug issues. The most notable bug was that it didn’t recognize ISO and CSO files on the memory card. That issue has been fixed in this release and all is well in the custom firmware world, so if you are wanting to download the newest custom firmware for the “GEN” series, this may just be the download for you. After being derided since, oh, 2004, the UMD is set to return to the PSPgo, albeit thanks to the peripheral guys Logitech.

Sure, we can see why some people may want to play their old UMD games on their new PSPgo, which lacks the drive and plays solely downloaded titles, but they should’ve really thought it over more carefully before whacking $250 on a new device.

Logitech sources dished the details to gaming site CVG, and while pricing and availability wasn’t confirmed the add-on will presumably plug into the PSPgo’s memory stick port.

I was browsing through the Playstation section of the official Sony USA website and I must admit I’m not sure WHEN these bundles were first announced, but since I’d stumbled on them I decided to be a good patron and pass the information along. Sony is coming out with some new bundles for what I’d expect are holiday promotional-type deals. Most interesting of all, at least to me, is the new lilac colored PSP (pictured above). I mean, check that sucker out. There’s no other way to describe it other than… well… lilac. And that it is. That version right there is bundled with the Hannah Montana Entertainment Pack which comes with the Hannah Montana: Rock Out The Show game, a UMD featuring 3 episodes from the hit TV series, a nice 2gb memory stick, and last but certainly not least, a sheet of vinyl stickers to deck it out in girly amazingness. This item may not be for everyone but the lilac color is actually pretty neat!

Going along with the bundle theme, Sony is offering some other options as well. There’s 3 other bundles that they’ve also setup. One bundle is for the newest Gran Turismo game, as should be expected. That bundle comes with a silver PSP 3000 series with a 2gb memory stick, the Gran Turismo game, and two vouchers to use online. The first one is for the movie, The Italian Job, and the second voucher is for a special downloadable content add-on for Gran Turismo. It’s a white Corvette ZR1 for the game to add to your collection… pretty sweet.

Next on the list is the Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines bundle. This bundle includes the Pearl White colored PSP 3000 series unit, again with a 2gb memory stick, the UMD copy of the Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines game, as well as a voucher for the movie Angels & Demons.

Last on the bundle list is the Rock Band bundle. This bundle comes with the Piano Black PSP 3000 series unit with a 4gb memory stick, the UMD game of Rock Band Unplugged, and a voucher for the PSN for the movie, School of Rock, starring Jack Black.

It should also be mentioned that all of the bundles except for the Rock Band bundle also include a voucher for 10 downloadable songs on the PSN and the USD price tag for these bundles will run you $199.99.

Are you one of the dozens millions of people that can’t wait to get their hands on the new PSP Go? Sony CEO Adam Grant announced that if you have bought or are planning to buy a PSP Go that you could get a game absolutely free. The game selection for the United States is as follows. You can get the new Gran Turismo that was delayed for an eternity, the fast-paced MotorStorm Arctic Edge, or the adventure-ridden Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines game. You can, however, get one of these games absolutely free. How? Well, word on the internet is that if you sign in to the Playstation Network (sign up required) and download a copy of their newest PSP Go Promotional Theme that they have that you’ll also be given the game of your choice to download through the store. I haven’t personally tested this yet, but I fully-intend on doing so. Apparently you download the theme and then Sony will shoot you an email with a voucher for one of the games that you can choose to use towards whichever game you want. Pretty sweet? Yes, yes it is. The email that they will send the voucher to is whatever email account you have linked to your PSN account, so make sure of that. Also, they are apparently making sure not to make sure people are abusing this by using multiple PSN accounts for one unit according to the MAC address of the PSP being used… but that has got me thinking… “Why not just hack the MAC to be different?”. You didn’t hear that from me, but it might just bring you a little extra couple presents from the Sony Santa Claus this season.

Many people are giving the PSP Go a rough time. I’ve actually had some hands-on time with the unit myself and it’s a really nice little piece of technology. I’d recommend one if you’re just getting into the PSP scene. They are even working on getting these bad boys running all of the homebrew that the PSP has been known for. The recently-released and long-awaited Gran Turismo has finally come to the PSP and if Sony plays their cards right, the PSP could very-well be what they’d always wanted it to be. There’s an official “Digital Comics” section of the XMB in newer firmwares which is really pretty neat. The program they’ve written for navigating through the comics is really easy to understand and enjoyable to read.
