Help with upgrading?

I'm told that because I'm running the software version of 1.52 on my PSP, that I'll need to first upgrade to 2.0, and then rollback to 1.5 to expect any results with the emulators.

So where do I begin? Please forgive the many questions, but I'm new to it all. If someone could give it to me all in one shot Id be very thankful.

you can download the 2.0 eboot from www.psphacks.net and search there then find the mph downgrader

Ok, I successfully upgraded and everything is working fine now.

The eboot file, and those update files - can I erase those off the psps now, or do they have to stay on?
