pspbrewpack.exe possible virus? NOPE!

** BEGIN MONKEYMAXIMUS EDIT**
After a little research it seems that ArcaVir is stupid. :)

How to prove this?
Use winrar to create a Self Extractable Package of anything. Upload to that site (below) and see it gives you the same error.

Thus they cant take ANY SELF EXTRACTABLE files and are stupid as proclaimed by me :)
**/END MONKEYMAXIMUS EDIT**

Not jumping to any conclusions here so don't flame me or anything, just scanned my brewpack from the official site and it found this.

File: pspbrewpack.exe
Status: INFECTED/MALWARE
MD5 1e6b90337e79e4fa0618c91e1c65be36
Packers detected: UPX

Scanner results
AntiVir Found nothing
ArcaVir Found Trojan.Dropper.Bancos.Dj1
Avast Found nothing
AVG Antivirus Found nothing
BitDefender Found nothing
ClamAV Found nothing
Dr.Web Found nothing
F-Prot Antivirus Found nothing
Fortinet Found nothing
Kaspersky Anti-Virus Found nothing
NOD32 Found nothing
Norman Virus Control Found nothing
UNA Found nothing
VBA32 Found nothing

Could it be a false positive? I know some virus scanners can read certain packets or whatever as a virus...and since I can't find anything on the web about this virus Trojan.Dropper.Bancos.Dj1, I'm guessing that's what it is. Anyone?

i checked the code and it said clean under all but said something how it might be a malware because of something else.

im wondering if it thinks my code seems misplaced (as it is generated on teh fly.. hmm im still looking tho)

Yeah I know a lot of scanners have a certain "preventive" virus engine of sorts built in that detects code that looks like a virus to prevent new, unkown viruses from causing an infection. Sometimes these engines can detect otherwise clean code as possible malware/virus. I went ahead and extracted the file and everything is working fine. Great service you're running here. If my computer starts acting buggy I'll just hunt you down and murder you

(joke...btw)

AH HA! i figured it out.... ARCAvir sucks!!!

Try taking winrar and make a self extracting file.... upload to that site... guess what it finds it as the same!

So no matter what is in it, it just hates self extracting files.....

just for proof... if anyone else can try and post that this is fact i would appreciate it (so its not just coming from me)

I figured it was nothing. Unfortunately I only have winace and winzip so I can't check this winRAR thing. Anyone else want to confirm it to make the rest of the world feel safer? :D Personally I trust it's safe. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah I figured something was up besides a virus, as noted by the very first post..can we close this topic please as the words virus and pspbrew have no point being shown together?
