Can u save files ont he genesis emulator?

When I play Sonic on the Gens emulator, or any other game, it doesnt let me save my file That I saved.Like on Sonic Three.When I go to a next zone it should save.Is there one that u can put ur saves on and also save states?

Yeah there is.I just cant get in touch with him or her.My cousin told me there is someone though but for a save state emulator, that is unknown, but im sure smeone making one for save files.Its veryt possibly but not for save states on gens.
