best xbox modchip

ok guys i got a free xbox...just gotta buy a new laser for it lol. but i was wondering whats the best modchip for it?

Mine got banned but I don't care, I have a 360. But that was because I softmodded my xbox. In terms of modchips, I believe Xecuter 3 was the best xbox 1 modchip. That and Xenium 24k was the best looking!

You can just turn the modchip off before you get on live so you don't get banned.

well i wont use xbox live cause well im lazy and still have dial up...grrr, um how would i go about softmodding it and whats the difference between that and modchip other than the obvious

Softmod is when you pretty much change it so it boots to a different custom dashboard and can run homebrew. It is the same as say putting custom firmware on a psp through like the GTA exploit. But instead on the xbox you have to use the old versions of Mech Assualt to softmod it, along with putting the files on the memory card. Modchips on the other hand don't touch the software at all. It just makes it boot to a dashboard on the modchip.
