What's the difference between boot.elf and boot.dol?
What's the difference between boot.elf and boot.dol if any? And if there is where can I find the boot.dol version of the Homebrew channel.

Some homebrew is being released in both formats, but as the Wii can boot elf files, it has less restrictions than dol, the older gamecube format. dol files are a little smaller so they take up less room on the SD card.
There is no dol for the homebrew channel, just elf. It's only used to install it anyway, so it can be deleted from the SD card after installation.
