PS3 Need help with everything.

Kay well my friend should be registering soon but isn't that great with forums and he would like me to ask you for some kind of guide for everything for a new owner of a 60gig model ps3. He wants to know everything and anything and how to do this and that. so if you guys could help me out by making a tut or some kind he would be vary thankful. Thanks

Again I am reviving a dead thread but I am working on a noobs guide to the PS3. I might get some help for you guys but I am working on it now.

Until I get a better guide online here is the official guide from Playstation. As of 11/25/07 it was only updated to firmware 2.00 so it might be revised soon, since 2.01 is out now.
