I guess sony got smart and is ending homebrew o well i guess this was a fun ride

How is it the end exactly?

If you're refering to the PSN banwave this was always a known thing, it was going to happen, i jailbroke knowing full well it would mean sacrificing PSN and i'm happy enough to do that, not like sony can stop you using your console offline :P

Well i'm happy with 3.55 and homebrew, 3.56 won't run homebrew at present and doesn't add anything new so no reason to make a CFW for it, and with sony starting the banwagon people running it will most likely get banned, i don't care either way as i don't really use the service and losing access to the whole 2 games i own on PSN isn't an issue.

no telling but doubtful if you have homebrew everytime you turn your ps3 on it phones home

I think homebrew for now on will be always a part of consoles. Just look at the 3DS. It already is running the R4 cart.

AFAIK it contacts sony each time its booted regardless of if you have it logged in to PSN or not to report error logs etc :)
