What voltage of electricity?

Hey, I was just wondering, how many volts of electricity can go through USB cords, and guitar cords

basically a range of the amount of electricty that each one supports

I dunno know bout guitar cords, but usb has 5v running through the red wire.

Have you ever tried to make 10 volts go through it? what happens?

It's 5 volts for USB and Mini USB and PS/2 wire.
As for guitar... What cord are you talking about?

I've never tried but really all that matters is what guage of wire you are using. Theres a ratio, I'm not sure what it is but of voltage to gauge. The more voltage, the bigger wire you need. Why do u need to run 10 volts through a usb plug?

I wanna see the max I can run through the cord I wanna make a AC plug that converts to a usb, i didn;t want it to use an adapter but I obviously have to

If you wanted to use 10 volts in a usb you will have to use a power adapter, also if you try it with out it, you are most likely to kill something.

I have a lot of things that power by usb and I have and I have an AC/DC adapter, I wanted to make this thing where I can charge something from a wall adapter to a usb to a DC pwer source
