I am so gellin. Finally one state is doing it right!

Here is the best part: "The other bill declares that guns manufactured entirely in Arizona are exempt from federal oversight and are not subject to federal laws restricting the sale of firearms or requiring them to be registered."

I wonder if the other 49 states will follow along and exercise their constitutional authority over the federal government.

It's actually the third to do this... So... There's 47 other states that you would want to do this, too. Right?
Eh...
Why would you want people to be allowed to carry around guns without having a permit?
I would suspect a sudden increase in murders.

It's really the part about ignoring federal law that I found striking.

See, States have authority over the feds according to the 10th Amendment but that isn't how it seems sometimes because the feds give away money. If the states don't do what the feds want then the feds just deny the money so most states go along with most federal policies.

I know concealed weapons is a small thing by comparison but it is still an effort to express state sovereignty.

However I too wonder if gun related incidents will increase.

1. I like that there seems to be an increasing attention span towards state rights, but I'm more curious to find out
how the federal side will perhaps counter this monetarily/ judicially without regards to the 2nd amendment.

2. Gun related incidents will increase if there are more guns... yes, they always do. The more potential there is for
people to create "throwaway" weapons, the greater the probability there is for crimes involving guns. Similarly,
I wonder how the individual state(s) themselves plan to keep things safe.

Nope, but from what I've heard its a lot more common for someone to get shot in US than
it is for someone in Canada. Good thing texas is a long ways away.

The fact that Canada is more safer is based on many facts.

You don't have gangs in Canada... who wants to be slingin drugs on the corner when it's -20 outside... lol.

But in all seriousness it's useless to compare many countries to other ones. Even though Canada and the US are close, we vary economically, geographically, climate, population, demographic, so many ways...

"Frustrated by recent political setbacks, tea party leaders and some conservative members of the Oklahoma Legislature say they would like to create a new volunteer militia to help defend against what they believe are improper federal infringements on state sovereignty."

I wonder what would happen if this occurred in a larger state like California or New York.
