I'm more interested in all the new hardware coming out, so anything related to that would be great. And of course, Zelda for Wii and Halo Reach.

@BFK: dude, there are some pics of it online but it might just be an HDDVD Drive.. However, there are some images of the supposed motherboard. Ben Heck took a look at it and basically mapped it out to confirm that it has everything that the orignal XBox 360 has except it's just condensed.

most xbox 360 motherboard revisions has had something condensed each time

I never recall a massive 40% fail rate on PS3's that made us find alternate ways JUST TO COOL THE DAMN CONSOLE.

also: sick burn (Paying for online thats seriously no different than PSN only the servers cant handle as many people {MAG})

Telling me to "Hop off" isn't going to make me do it.

Not being a Dick will.

Also, I'll risk my console f**k up (Which mines never even hinted at) to have just a superior online service.

Oh I know you didn't just try to make a "pro-360" comment about overheating compared to PS3 lol. That's just redundant.

Time for me to shift this discussion back to the original topic..
A sure remodel of the 360 will help out the RRoD problem that a huge amount of 360 users receive...
What about a Wii remodel? Anyone wanting to see one or thinking that there will be one?

I'm not interested in a Wii remodel, I am interested to see Nintendo's next console though. I hope they have a standard physical gamepad as the primary controller!

Did they release the black Wii in the states? I know they have it here in Australia.

I don't see Nintendo releasing a new Wii version. It's already as compact as it can get. They would have to drastically change hardware and at that point it wouldn't be the Wii but the successor of it.

I really wonder what Microsoft is going to do about a successor to the Xbox 360. Sony has room to grow with the PS3 considering bluray has so much storage dev's can do almost anything on the system. the 360 still has to adhere to the restrictions of dvd9. As soon as you start installing everything on the hard drive, it takes away the portability of physical media. Given that the 360's been out for a while, I'm sure if they released a slim model a lot of people already with a 360 would gobble it up, especially if it means getting rid of the RROD issue.

I really wonder what Sony has in store with the PSP. It's really too bad that companies are so concerned with DRM that consoles are built AROUND it. I really hope that they can get some low power components in there to really extend battery life. The current model psp's have such an excellent form factor, i wouldn't want them to change it!

The 3DS doesn't impress me at all. I got a DS when the lite came out, and have barely played it. Even giving the fact I can get all the games for free, it just never interested me. Not good enough games or graphics to keep my interest. In a way, Nintendo is almost dead to me. I will have to get a new Zelda game for Wii though as I love that series. I doubt I'd buy another Nintendo console though.

There's too much advancement in tech for other fields that nothing going on in the gaming industry interests me. PC gaming is going to expand much more now with the implementation of switchable graphics becoming widespread. You don't need a top of the line tower to play new games with max settings. It can be done on laptops now that are actually somewhat portable!

I agree with most of what you're saying, Brent. I hate the DS mainly because they started it with crippled hardware and they did little to upgrade it. They just made it look nicer and took away the GBA slot.
I'm hoping that the 3DS will be a lot better. I know that the 3D portion of it is just going to be a gimmick but I'm hoping that they either do something great with it, or make it optional. I had hoped for a good system to proceed the GBA Micro, but none ever came...
On another note, I'm sad to say, but, the PSP is slowly slipping away. I think all handhelds are, actually. I'm hoping Sony has something up their sleeves that will just kill anything from ever stepping foot back into the handheld market. I heard that the graphics chipset that they're using is nearly between the strength of the original XBox and the 360. Now, put that on a smaller screen and what do you get? An amazing screen with graphics that look like they're on the 360. Don't get me wrong, the rumored Tegra 2 that's supposedly going to be in the 3DS will be good, but if the rumors are true, the PSP2 is going to kill all of the competition. Hopefully, it'll be less than $200 USD.

And to answer your question, Brent, no, the black Wii is not and probably won't come to the U.S. anytime soon.

I think the thing that will take handhelds to the next level is online play, and unfortunately that is the cell phone market. Not to mention handheld games do only one thing... play games. As cell phones continue to improve, you'll be seeing them more than handhelds. As well as the introduction of netbooks. There's too many mobile devices these days that are capable of doing so much more than what a handheld device can.

Speaking of which... my parents still haven't forwarded my new netbook to me. hopefully soon! :) [/offtopic]
