Nah, no fail. You're probably right.

But I thought the yellow light was a power management issue. I look online and I see people posting similar stuff to the 360 fixes that involve towels and/ or blow driers... I'd never do that.

ignoring the fact that game consoles lack both sentience and a phallus, I've kept my ps3 on for days at a time (while playing it of course) and it hasnt failed me yet (though i do worry about the ungodly sounds that emanate from it), and mine one of the old 300ib 60gigs.
