Is there a prefix or suffix to the model number? There's tons of models that are "2500"

You can most likely use one of the older drivers as well. Let me know the exact model number though and I should be able to find the proper driver. Although, if you used Windows 7, it would automatically install them ;)

I wasn't trying to be a dick.. I just honestly didn't think the site would help me being as not any ever gets on, but DPM is starting and I thank him for that.

The model number is 2535QV Compaq Presario 2500.

I've looked on the HP site, and Actually downloaded the Audio driver for it which is Conaxent (Don't know how to spell it), and It installs but Doesnt actually do anything And i keep getting the error of "Audio Device cannot Start"

I've Tried TONS of audio drivers to try and get it working, but to no avail.

I've tried Realtek, Conaxent, and a TON of others..

The Product number for the laptop is : DC973A

Thanks if you can help me out :D

For the Record : The Operating System is, Windows XP Home edition SP 3 I believe...

Side note: I have NO problem going to linux but before I do, I want to make sure that My audio and Video and Internet will work Properly... (Airplanes feel free to help out brotha.. lol)

Well, why don't you partition and try linux. If the audio isn't working under linux then maybe it's a hardware issue and not a driver issue.
