None of you are better than the other.
Well I just want to point out a few things if I may.
2000 years ago Palestine(modern day Israel) was being conquered by Rome. 300 years later it was Christian pilgrims. Then it was the Persians (I don't know their interest in the land) then Arabs for roughly 1300 years. During that time it was back and forth between Christians and Arabs(not "Jews") fighting for access to the "Holy Land". This is the period of the crusades.
Watch this movie for details
By the 1500s the Ottoman Turks had come and taken the land from the Arabs and they pretty much dominated until the end of WWI.
A minority of so called "Jews" helped Britain fight back the Turks and so this led to the 1917
Balfour declaration being sent to London. The letter was written by British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour and addressed to Lord Rothschild in which the British made public their support of a Jewish homeland in Palestine for the hand full of "Jews" that helped fight the Turks during WWI.
In 1919 the demographics in Palestine looked like this:
Non Jew______Jew________%toJew_____Total
500,000 -----65,000 --------87/13------ 565,000
Only 13% of the population was Jewish at the time. This would mean that the 87%
majority Arab would have to give up some land. Of course this would not have been popular with the Arabs or the rest of the world. In 1919 anyone could care less for the plight of the "Jews".
Enter Adolph Hitler.
We know what he is famous for. What we don't know is who supported him to rise to power. Hitler had assistance from some very powerful people that lead back to England and believe it or not America. Read about that
here.
By the end of WWII the atrocities committed by the NAZIs under Hitler were no longer secret and a horrified world swayed their sympathy in favor of the Palestinian Jewish minority.
Palestine in 1945
Non Jew_________Jew_____%toJew_____Total
1,295,000 -------564,000----- 70/30---- 1,859,000
By 1948 the U.N. opened a bible(to establish borders) and handed over 56% of the land to only 32% of the population. I don't know how many rightful land owners were displaced in the partitioning but you can bet they weren't happy.
So you see the 2000 years of fighting that you mentioned really only account for
62 years or so as the Palestinians really had no gripe with the Jews until 1948.
Hopefully you read everything to this point and now you are better informed.
