This is debatable when you consider that the PS One was plagued with laser problems.

The PS2 also had laser problems. In the case of the PS2 after you consider the slim versions there were over 15 console hardware revisions!

My PS3 was a laser repair and there is a slim model of that as well.

I don't know if $ony finally fixed their laser issues or not.

lazer issues in a the phat ps2? yeah i know. slim? mild. ps3, never for me at all.

and the revisions didnt really do much but change the price sony paid to make them. nothing was being fixed really, maybe weight..

and xbox had that too, normal, hdmi, elite.....

nintendo as NEVER had too. notice the consoles and how they JUST WORK.

the time it took microsoft to do any of that...... well, your (failed) HDDVD player WASNT built in and was a (late) periferal. uh, bluetooth mic? nope. hdd you can replace with any 2.5 inch HDD? no, not really. if you removed the shell and were ready to void your warranty, sure i guess. usb port and easy media sharing? ha. took me and my friend hours to figure out with their idiot manual. starting to sound like MAC....... XP

now, this doesnt mean i dont want a 360, of course i do, but im pointing out how much i trust them over sony. ps3 hasnt failed me. my xbox sure as hell did.

Can you not get it through your fanboy head that the 360 was released years earlier than the PS3? In those years wifi became a modern luxury, bluetooth became mainstream. If they would have included HD DVD drives the early adopters would have to buy a whole new console just to play new games. The media sharing part is a laugh on you for not being smart enough to figure out.

Also, the Sony making a "better console" each time is the stupidest fanboy comment iv seen yet. If you didnt know, there were 3 types of Play Station 1 (!!!) systems, 2 PS2s, and already 2 PS3s. They cant upgrade processing power because devs would use them and once again early adopters would be left in the cold. Sure they fixed a few things, but I sure as heck would rather have 2 revisions over 5 years rather than 2 revisions in 3 (not to mention Sony saying PS3 will last until 2014)

Sure they held out but sony does to. it the way the world works.

I am happy I like it and will buy 2. Reason beingis for one to open and play with or mod. or whatever. Blue RoL would look really nice on that system.

did you read that? what i said and what you said? it makes no sense to your point. your saying, in affect, YEs ps3 has it all no xbox doesnt

if xbox came out YEARS before, why didnt they do all that stuff in there revision?

and NO the HDDVD would NOT make you by another console or whatever idiot thing you said. devs WOULDnt have to work around it.

ps3 has blueray but also does dvd's. no custom anything, or stupidity. no, your point is invalid, try again

PS3 when it first came out was the Shiz. had SD-card slot and PS2 mem slots. and was backwards compatible. not its slim. No multi OS Support. no slots. ALL it is, is a Glorified gaming system with blu-ray. or a Glorified blu-ray player with gaming capabilities.

Reason I think stuff was not implemented in revisions is because they were working on putting it in this system. the system that should have been. here is what the xbox should have been like to start.

They did add the stuff in their revision...wifi is now included and so is a removable standard HDD.

Blue tooth wouldnt make much sense with a headset coming standard with every console as well as hardcore gamers using Turtle Beach and Tritans (and the such). This isnt to say I dont want this feature, the more features the better choices I can make I say.

Blu-Ray Drive- Why would they take the competitions technology and have to pay for every 360 they sold back to Sony? That doesnt make much sense. This even goes a step further by saying the Netflix app as well as other digital streaming apps are on the 360 to more than make up for Blu Ray. Blu Ray was a dead technology before it ever took off because of instant streaming coming main-stream. Thats another topic for another day tho.

HDDVD thing you said- So your telling me if a dev made a game on an HD DVD disk and you bought it without the "new internal HD DVD player" you could play it? lol no wonder you couldnt figure out even media streaming :lol:

PS3 does have a Blu Ray drive that can play DVDs. No argument there. But do they have DVD games? I didnt think so. So yes, my point is still valid.

EDIT- Also, as Tyler mentioned, do you mean that every revision is better? Even when they cut out all that stuff its still better?

I think if the Xbox was released when the PS3 was it would have most of the same features as it. Excluding Blu-ray but thats obvious as its a Sony tech

I want the ORIGINAL 80GB or 60GB PS3. the Fully backward compat one. I will not buy any other one. I will take any of them free tho lol.

Eh I don't feel like reading all of this, but @airplanes I read where you said sony made each model better so they were good upgrades or w/e.

And at the same time you bash MS for releasing a 250GB 360 with built in WiFi for $300 which is a great deal.

ps2 revisions just made it more cost effective (for them)

and the ps3 slim 260gb is 299. so now where are you at?

and like i said, i want an xbox. theres lots of games i really want that are exclusive to it.
