Just heard about this in the last week, its gonna be another sega styled side scroller, for wii? and now what? will they actually tell you why your running through 8 levels? this is gonna fail.

Dude, this game is going to be amazing! It's finally 2D and it will include a lot more levels than 8! Hopefully they will include a bunch of different characters so similar to Sonic Advanced.

You guys should play Shadow : the hedgehog .... It was a ps2 game from Sega and it had shadow, as well as androids and sonic characters in it, and in this it really wasn't racing it was fighting through levels...

^ all reasons shadow the hedgehog wasn't actually a sonic game.

If you haven't beat the originals you cant understand why this game is amazing.

Coming to PSN, Wii Ware, XboxLive Arcade and iOS. I am excited to actually have a good sonic game again.

I hope they include the feature where you can play with Tails.
They should also include Knuckles in it too.

It would be stupid not to after they did it in both Sonic 2 and Sonic 3.

Plot

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set shortly after its predecessor Sonic & Knuckles; in the game, the main protagonist Sonic destroys Doctor Eggman's space station, the Death Egg. With the Death Egg destroyed and Angel Island returned to the sky, Sonic decides it's time to take a break. After parting with Tails and Knuckles, he sets off to explore new territories alone; however, unbeknownst to him, his nemesis Dr. Eggman has survived their last encounter, and has revisited and improved some of his "very best" robotic creations in another attempt to defeat Sonic.[2]

I want a 2D Sonic game that includes as many characters from the Sonic universe as possible. Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, the golden Sonic dude, Metal Sonic, Amy, and even Eggman would be cool.

Egg man is there. This is a direct sequel to Sonic and Knuckles. STOP please STOP saying "Gold Sonic Dude" it is SUPER SONIC!!!

I dont want these added stupid sonic guys. they were added when the series went to Sh*t. Original Sonic on the SEGA system were the only Good ones. now my childhood is coming back and I am excited as Hell.

Tyler, I was kidding when I said, "the golden Sonic dude." We went over that a long time ago. I think they had a lot of new characters that were crap but if they can remake Sonic and give the older series a new spark with older gameplay, I wouldn't mind for them to add in more of the newer characters. I would still love playing with Sonic or Knuckles, but I'd love to get to know some of the other guys. When I said that I wanted Eggman in the game, I mean as a playable character.

Wasnt there for that lol. The only cool one is Metal Sonic and Shadow of the nw ones.

The only sonic game Iv liked and still want to play is that Sonic racing game for gamecube where you can pick your characters and race to the finish line

Sonic 3 and Knuckles was probably the best one.
I don't know why, but it's usually always the third game in a series that's the best.
Breath of Fire 3
Sonic 3
Super Mario Brothers 3
Halo 3

I wouldn't mind having some newer characters in there but not more than like 5 and no alternate stories. knuckles glides and climbs, tails flies, shadow should just be like sonic and MAYBE throw in metal sonic.

Or just have sonic. I mean he has a bunch of new abilities.
