It's ran me 300 bucks. (We had bought groceries too, So It might have been like 330 bucks after everything.)
The HDMI cable was 17 bucks I think.. lol
No I didn't get a monster cable, I thought 17 dollars for a damn cord was expensive enough lol.
EDIT: The brand is a Hisense, never heard of it before but it works great so far.

All the time Cables there go on sale, I got
THESE when they went on sale for like $3 bucks a pop, I got like 10 of them. Best cables ever!

2 things - 1. I'm guessing his is an LCD, so maybe thats a reason...
2. I'm also assuming you got a Sony one or some other huge company one... not saying the one he got is bad, just saying that larger companies mostly charge more...

It is a samsung, back in november it was the cheapest 32 led available with 120hz and 3million to 1 contrast ratio.
