What Batman comic should I start reading at? I'm not a very avid comic reader, so I'm going to ask you guys a VERY broad question.... I've recently became interested in the DC comic book character Batman, via his latest video game (Arkham Asylum). And I wanted to know where should I start reading Batman comics that tie in with the MAIN DC storyline leading to his death. So, what comic should I start reading?

Hey! Welcome to the site! Maybe you could try finding the 6-part mini-series of Batman Beyond? It was always my favorite Batman series. :D

Other than that, check out Gotham Central: Unresolved Targets. It's a graphic novel. Not really a comic series, but it's a great read! :P It's about the Joker killing people live on the internet for everyone to see. You get a good sense of the cops' view of Batman in this novel.

Hope this helps! :D

I started on "Batman: Year One" by Bob Kane. I then followed that up with "The Return of the Dark Knight"

I also went back to when I felt the art was the very least I could tolerate and started going forward. I came in at The Broken Bat. Its the issue Bane broke Batman's back. Also dont be afraid to pick up all the side series. Like Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl I have them all downloaded in chronological order.

I'm a walking DC encyclopedia lately so if you have any questions on what series begin where just ask.

@crait I just finished reading the first issue of the sixth issue series of Batman Beyond! Most excellent.
