Moon Landing.... A Hoax?

There are a lot of good arguments for both sides of the fence: Was the first moon landing a hoax? Are they all hoaxes? Well, I don't think there is even though there are a lot of kooky things that I've seen against it.
What are your views?

I'd say yes, but I honestly also think that if it was staged, the Soviets would have discovered it immediately.

LMAO! Maybe if America had asked the Soviets to help them pull off the hoax, they would have won the cold war due to Communists laughing to death.

DCM the flag that was supposedly the one that Neil Armstrong used is on display in the Smithsonian and it made entirely of plastic so therefore there wouldn't be a need for wind for it to stay. now as for if the moon landing was faked or not i can honestly say that i have no opinion on this for the simple fact of if it was faked would it take away from out history? personally i'd say no because it has been proven that there were other trips to the moon and if i'm not mistaken (please someone correct me if i'm wrong) the US was still the first ones on the moon. another thing is when the Chinese went to the moon a few years ago didn't they say they were gonna attempt to land close to the original moon landing site?

you know whats sad though is that this man, can't remember his name, was their with Armstrong on the moon, the only difference is that Armstrong just went out of the spaceship first...

You guys should watch the show mythbusters did on it! I don't really have any reason to believe that it's fake though.

the only thing i'm having trouble with to support the whole it's a hoax thing is that at the time the technology wasn't there for them to live stream it like they supposedly did now they could have filmed it up there then brought it back and said it was live.

the technology was there to stream, it was just an analog signal and not digital. Same technology used on the lunar probes that landed on the moon and sent images back... Speaking of which it was the soviets who had the first probe on the moon. USSR actually had a lot of the significant firsts during the space race.

I don't remember if the flag itself was made out of plastic, but it did have a bar that ran through the top of it to help give it it's shape. Although I read somewhere the flags planted probably aren't there anymore, just the poles left, without any atmosphere to protect them from the sun.

As far as Neil being first, I watched a documentary about the Apollo project and there was serious debate as to who would be best fit to become the "first man on the moon." It came down to Neil over Buzz Aldren because they thought that Neil would be able to handle the fame. And look at the two now, Neil continued his boy scout life and is still a great person. Buzz Aldren became an alcoholic, got divorced, and now does anything and everything to cash in on his fame. Neil cares so little about his fame that he stopped signing autographs YEARS ago because people were just turning around and selling them. Sounds to me like they made a wise decision.
