It seems within this year, Nintendo will have released 3 models of the DS.
The DSi, the DSi XL, and the 3DS.

Oh, it has been said. I haven't got my hands on one of the new DS XL units yet but they look kind of... well, I look at it as a conversion similar to the iPod touch and iPad.

Nintendo 3DS XL deservedly included in the list of the best gaming consoles: https://dmarket.com/blog/top-5-handheld-consoles-2018/. The only disadvantages of this system are:
Compared to the previous models, battery life hasn’t significantly improved, offering 3.5 to 6 hours of gameplay without charging.
An AC adapter is not included in the box
