I haven't pre-ordered it so I'll probably end up buying it a little later after release, but Uncharted looks nice :) I didn't realize AC3 would be out on it, now that I will definitely be looking forward to.

Definatly the more "Americanized" games. I've never really been into the Japanese thing.. Resistance, killzone, grand theft auto (it WILL come, mark my words ;) ) etc. I don't think I'll go the 3g route on this one though; Seems like a gimmick to me.

I agree with your tastes.

The 3g thing is interesting. If PSN is fast enough it could be a major selling point as you can have social gaming anywhere with "real" games... not just casual iphone gaming.

Seems like they have netflix too! http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/01/ ... o-ps-vita/

I think it was smart of Sony to steer vita away from the tablet market which is getting flooded. This is an interesting way to add similar features in a different form factor.

(sorry if im repeating stuff you guys know... I've just started reading into it)

Hmm, I'll have to wait and see what plans are offered, and how much it is. Insurance, Cable, cell, RENT. Good lord, these payments are gonna be the death of me I swear. Sony should make it free. haha

Hey guys the vita is sweet. I picked one of a few days ago but I've only put about 2 hours of total playtime with it.

The system is super sleek, lighter than the PSP 1000 and the screen is huge at 5". Because the screen is so huge, they shrunk the buttons on the side. Of course it has dual analog sticks! but I haven't really used them in a game yet. (Damn I should have bought Peace Walker digitally!)

The Interface is nice, but there is no button support in the main menus so you have to use the touch screen.

Right now I have Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational. I've only played HSG and it is fantastic - about the same as all the other HSG games but it plays very smoothly and the graphics are quite impressive. My cousin played Uncharted on it and was having a blast. I'm definitely going to buy the new Lumines when I see a good deal.

Cons:
1. No PS1 support yet
2.There isn't full PSP digital support
3. Sony chose not to bring the UMD Passport program to NA or Europe
4. The battery life - most of what I have seen in articles is 4-5 hours playing games. (So far I've just drained the battery once and I'm not sure what the time was. My best guess would be at least 5 hours)
5. I can't plug the system in the PC and easily transfer files, you have to use the interface on the vita and it is pretty tedious.

The best thing is I got the system and the two games for less than $200 with discounts =D. If ya have any questions about it then I can do my best to answer.

Hey, guys! I got my Vita. Lovin' it.

Advent, you know that full PS1 and PSP digital support is coming soon, right? :) Skype and full Remote Play is, too. Just gonna have to wait a little bit..

As far as battery life is concerned, it's a non-issue with me. Just make sure Wifi and Bluetooth are turned off and you're gravy.

I think the biggest con is the system menu but that doesn't mean it's bad... They made it work great for switching between games or applications, but the round buttons are just.... ew.
