Nice man. Just do a bit more blending on the text like do a bevel and emboss perhaps or try to make it match the colors of the fire.
Looks wikid for you're first try!

You could smudge it and mess around with the blending modes each frame.

very good idea, but it ruins the illusion of the flame, flames don't just de-materialize away...

Yes the blue flames is a great idea, but flames arent spikey, try liquifying it in long slender curves.
