Hi all, I'm about to buy a boat from a private seller, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a boat Bill of Sale?
Is it necessary, and what kind of information should I include?

Hey there! Yes, a boat bill of sale is definitely recommended. It serves as a legal document that confirms the transfer of ownership from the seller to the buyer, and it's important to have one to protect both parties in case of any disputes. As for what to include, you'll want to include the make, model, year, and hull ID number of the boat, as well as the purchase price, payment method, and any warranties or guarantees.

Thank you for your tip. I find it very useful for myself.
