how to make a custom start-up screen
this is how to make your own opening screen with RCO icon editor
download
1. press "open RCO" and select the "opening_plugin.rco" (not all .rco will work they must be decoded first, i have added one to the download for you)
2. use "Extract all" at the bottom of the screen. (this will dump the data from the file to your pc)
3. now using an image editor like "photo shop" you can now change the graphics that will be shown. use the list bellow for reference on what image dose what.
tex_logo.32bit.bmp / tex_logo.8bit.bmp = the text that is shown in the middle of the screen
tex_glow_A.32bit.bmp / tex_glow_A.8bit.bmp = background behind the text
tex_glow_B_top.32bit.bmp / tex_glow_B_top.8bit.bmp = graphics around the text
tex_glow_B_mid.32bit.bmp / tex_glow_B_mid.8bit.bmp = main moving graphic
tex_glow_B_buttom.32bit.bmp / tex_glow_B_buttom.8bit.bmp = another moving graphic
tex_glow.32bit.bmp / tex_glow.8bit.bmp = the background that screen fades to
tex_psp_logo.32bit.bmp / tex_psp_logo.8bit.bmp = just leave this be
(note: check the editor to make sure the image fits because the full image is not used every time)
4. now that you have modified the images as needed replace the current files in the rco editor please remember to replace both the 8bit and the 32 bit version. (some times the image looks odd so watch the display in the editor)
5. ok now close the editor and copy the "opening_plugin.rco" to flash0:/vsh/resourse and overwrite the existing file.
thats it the new opening will show on start up.
this is my startup
