the nano does not have a hard drive in it, it uses flash memory. But to answer your question, yes, you can hook it up to a hard drive. I cannot remember where i read this, but there was an article with pics showing that you could.

somebody was selling a 20gig hd hookup for the psp on ebay it was like 250$ US

I read an article (I forget where) that had some mp3 player that could be connected to the psp and used as a hard drive. I forget which one, but I wouldnt really want to have to have something bigger than an ipod teathered to my psp when im on my bathroom thinking chair

some guy transfered his hard drive from his ipod mini to psp he has 9 gigs

ive seen a 10gig mem stick dou coming out and the retailing somewhere from $250~350 u.s.

thats probally a phoney memory stick. 4 gigs is the highest for the regular sized memory sticks and 2 gigs is the highest for memory stick duos at this point. Neither sandisk, lexar or sony has this on their website.
