Ps3 October 1st???

On the web site www.gamespot.com many games are set to be realeased October 1st. That was the earlyest date I saw. Does this mean Ps3 could be realesed October 1st, well all i can say is I can't wait!!!!

it was stated that the ps3 was due for a march release for the americas. But im not sure about it now. The psp was delayed for a year in the UK. So im not sure whats gonna be the release date anymore.

I hope it comes out soon my friend is obssesed

The topic went from PS3 coming out in October and then saving money for it. Then to "double-posting" to tattle-tale or whatever then missing 1st grade..wow...can you say out of topic???

The initial release date for the PS3 was expected to be Spring of 2006.
But, because Sony just recently implemented an Online Feature (like XBOX LIVE, but better) therefore its going to be delayed for a bit.

As of now, there hasn't been any new news about actual release dates yet, but I am expecting it to be latest around the x-mas season, because thats when people are in a shipping-hype.

The Online feature i mention about is called "Sony Playstation HUB".
This could include chatting, downloadable demos, independent games, and online play. It is also expected to support the "Sony PSP" gaming platform.

Also, Sony however has still denied that they have decided upon a particular launch date for the PS3 gaming console.

So i hope these answers all the dates that people are saying the system will launch on.

if sony implements every game from ps1 to ps2 into this new "LIVE" of their's, then this would kill the 360 ten times over and over. But thats just my wish I have a strong feeling that all ps1 games will be for download on sony's live though.
