Lucky you, 2.0 doesn't need GTA for homebrew...
How to Upgrade to 2.0 and Use the 2.0 Eboot Loader V0.9
1.)Upgrading to 2.0 – Use either a UMD that will allow you to upgrade to 2.0 or go to
www.psp-hacks.com and look for a 2.0 upgrader. Make sure that when you upgrade that you are only upgrading to 2.0 and not anything higher than 2.0. *Also if you can reformat your memory stick - it will really help.
2.)Eboot Loader V0.9 – First, download the Eboot Loader V0.9 found here,
http://www.fanjita.org/psp.html. Extract it and place these files where they are supposed to go:
a.)The utils folder, a.bin, l_09.bin, and tsr.bin all go into your PSP root folder (like the J: folder).
b.)Next, place the PSP folder (in the eboot loader folder) into you PSP root memorst stick. It will ask you if you want to overwrite your original PSP folder and click yes, because it will only add all of the files into you PSP folder to get them to work correctly.
c.)ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED PUTTING EVERYTHING INTO THE CORRECT PLACES
YOU MUST HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTOM FOR 5 SECONDS AND LET IT REBOOT.
d.)In order to access and load the eboot loader, you don’t go into the game folder and then down to the memory stick games, you go into the pictures folder, and then go down to the picture of a blue eboot loader and the click X when it say EBOOT loader 09 next to it. You should then see a Christmas background, meaning that it is working on your PSP correctly.
3.)Installing Emulators and Games – For a list of emulators and games that work
on your new v2.0 PSP, check out this website,
http://www.fanjita.org/psp.html.
As for me, I would recommend using the uo_snes emulator for the snes that is
found in our brewpack, and the dgen that is found in our brewpack for the
genesis. Once you finally have a emulator that you want to install on the PSP,
here’s how you do it:
a.) Download and extract the emulator that you would want to use – I would
recommend that you use the uo_snes for now found here:
http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/ ... 0,0,4,1093 and can also
be found in our brewpack.
b.)Once you have extracted the emulator do as follows:
1.)Place the eboot file into the game file of your PSP.
2.)As for roms, place the roms just into the game folder anywhere and the
emulators will just pick them up, or you can make a rom
folder and just put all of your roms in there.
3.)MAKE SURE THAT YOU FULLY RESTART YOU PSP BEFORE YOU LOAD
ANY ROMS OR EMULATORS OR IT WILL RESULT IN YOUR PSP
FREEZING.
4.)As for games, just place the eboot files into your PSP game folders and the
eboot loader will pick them up and you will be able to play them.
Oh yeah - and if you have any problems with it, pm me and I'll gladly help you.
