spyware help

ok i know this is dumb but my laptop got infected with a spyware virus and i dont know what to do..i was watching videos on the internet and now i have it..ive downloaded spyware blockers and things and it says i have to buy them and i need ur guys advice..

Re-format your computer and install Ubuntu.

ok i downloaded the first one but when i tried loading it said windows cannot run this file...

now that were on the topic of this stuff, I have Norton Antivirus 2006 and every time that i do a virus scan once it scans a certain file my comp restarts everytime. Is this a virus or spyware?

try searching for the virus on your comp manually and deleteting it yourself

i know its a hassle but can u go into detail on how to get rid of spyware..everything i need to download to get rid of it...

lol duh i have 3 spyware programs norton 2006 2 reg cleaners

haha... u probly use them all the time and still get viruses from certian sites!

Download Spybot Search and Destroy it will get rid of any spyware viruses and its free!
Also download a good cleaner to get rid of Cookies,Temporary Files,and your internet history.
CCleaner and DCleaner are good tools.
