Dunno guess i'm a caring guy and i'd actually like to see improvment in society. The fact that shay luaghs at things like this just show cases how wrong our societies have truly gone wrong.

Ignorance isn't a crime though, it's our predecessor's fualt. Consider this, had that of been you shay we'd all be pretty sad. I don't think any one around here would be luaghing that hard if a fellow associate was killed in a senseless crime. Cleary the fact that you know no sympathy for your fellow man, proves how your government failed to run their country. This is the same with most if not all governments though. The fact that this kid realized he could kill innocent people with ease says some thing to me about how things are run. I'm not degrading any one in any for their personal thoughts on this event, we have the right to free speech and nobody can f*** with that.

As well you're the foolish of all to tell some one to go die for expressing their opinion.

hmm, somehow I don't see that happening Alimobeer.

I think the only way we can blame society is if we directed it towards law enforcement. I fell no emotion for these people, because I've seen and heard about death a lot, and now, it doesn't phase me much anymore.

I'm not saying I'm commending this man for his actions, thats way off. What happened was a tradgedy and people all over the world are feeling for these people and families.

I guess I found humor in this situation because of how I found out about it. Many of you might have heard about it from the news, or read the headlines on some news site, what did they say? "Shooter in Virginia Causes Chaos". That would immediately make me feel bad for at lease one victim, with a word like "Chaos" being used to describe it. I found out about it on a website where, much like I have been saying in this thread, everything is a joke and we find humor in everything. The topic was labeled "VTEC KICKS IN YO!", so I checked it out, and I immediately associated the massacre with the Honda engine. and the jokes went further and futher in the same "VTEC" fashion. I made many jokes myself, and never once did I see a "your a sick person" post, until later on where the community continued to flame him into oblivion.

I guess thats why.

In a way I almost respect the shooter b/c all-too-often in our society you see someone get pushed around and make hollow threats and things - only this time, the threats weren't hollow. I respect his courage and audacity. I respect that he realized what he wanted out of life and went for it... I mean, 9/10 people die without having lived a full live to their pleasure (at least I'd think so). Some people want to bungee jump and never do... others want to parachute and don't or go hiking across Europe. But this guy wanted to try to change the world that he personally thought was wrong - and he went and did it.

But even though I respect those certain qualities from the guy... there's just no way I can respect what he did. It's a tragedy, no doubt. It's a tragedy that he felt so much like an outcast in the first place...

I think the person that deserves the real commemoration here is the "holocaust survivor" who was a teacher and (arguably) saved the lives of every student in his class - though he ended up with the short end of the stick, and was killed. That's something anyone can respect.
