Please take a pic so we can see if you are telling the truth. I am asst. manager at EB games and no new psp's have/well be coming with 4.xx firmware.

you know I don't honestly think that any console of any sort is "unhackable", but still I don't think it's cool to dis Sony because of their attempts. I think that anything they produce it's just a matter of time before it's the center of homebrew news. Which is awesome for the homebrew community. But another thing I was thinking is, with how small the mem sticks are, and even the potential of come of the ssmallest components on a PC's motherboard.. Then lets jump back to when the 3.xx OE's were coming out and people were talking about the flash space. Even pullings useless things out of flash the space was still really limited. Maybe with the new PSP's if having a firmware of 4.xx and new motherboards, if so... there maybe more flash this time around, which makes more possibilities.. It's all just a matter of time! But if sony's really working on stopping us, their gonna need room to work. So slightly more flash could mean anything really. More stability I hope! I've found alot of little things I've messed with run slower then normal, and I'm not sure that I'm right or not but that flash works like PC RAM right? Well could give us a boost!

No program is 100% unhackable. I mean, look at all the games that get released that have glitches and holes in them, and they spend a couple YEARS getting the game up to snuff.

I think Sony is just trying to cover their donkey just in case some game publisher comes to them and tries to say, "YOur PSP encourages software piracy yada yada yada..." I honestly don't think Sony really gives a sh*t whether people run homebrew on the PSPs or not, it's just that they're trying to cover their asses legally.

When they were talking about the non-downgradable psp's were they talking about v3.5? Since that did just come out.... I wonder when there will be a v3.5OE-A? :P

Well, does anyone out there remember when N64 couldn`t be emulated? This seems to be a very real similarity as far as what coprporations "think" about this console or that machine or this software. Bottom line, anything and everything is completely crackable. For those who DON`T think so, just give it time, in 10 years, all the people (at SONY or wherever) will be like "wow, I remember when..."

So, don`t look at these things as "if", but WHEN.

Time is on the homebrew scene in whatever scene.

For me, I just like the idea of being able to do what supposedly "can`t" be done.
