does anybody know how to make them smaller before converting them into eboots ?

Compress it, or manually compress it (suggested).
Read up on this.

Sorry to ask a question on your thread, but will the file size of the iso be the same when you turn it into a eboot?

does anybody know how to manually reduce a psx iso? the main reason im asking, is because im trying to shrink mortal kombat trilogy. and yes if you convert an iso to an eboot it will come out to about the same size.

You just take some files out of it. (mainly music as those are the biggest)
I dont remember what the program was called that does this though...but I think theres another
way to manually take it out without a program.

Try Alcohol 120, there may be some options to look at the contents of what you are converting BEFORE you convert.

well winrar will open an iso. you can see the files there

Alcohol 120% = wrong
WinRAR = wrong
cdgenPS2 = right

There's others as well.

Yea it's pretty good for chunking up ISO files.

i tried cdgenPS2 on mk trilogy, and it made it 50megs instead of +500, and it starts in epsxe but then frezes, so i didnt even try making it an eboot.

LOL, not laughing at anyone, but 50 megs compressed from 500, it`s no wonder it froze.

it has 450 megs of padding, just like a lot of other 2d playstation1 games, ive got other games that have full audio for ps1 that are 10-30 megs and work just fine that ive gotten off of torrents, but i was trying to do it myself. i guess ill have to try another forum, since this site isnt very helpfull
