Korn's first record was EXTREMELY innovative. Pretty much every "nu-metal" band from the 90's and beyond bit a TON of stuff off Korn's first record. Those cats may not be the best band in the world, but they're sure as hell original.

I don't really consider Tenacious D heavy metal. They should be in the comedy rock genre. They are good don't get me wrong but not really true to the title heavy metal.
