Firmware 3.51, officially out!

It's out now so don't go and grab it at www.playstation.com. I guess Sony heard about the new 3.50 downgrader and then right away came out with a new firmware to prevent further downgrades. Anyways, here's what this firmware allows you to do:

- Revisions to strengthen security have been added

....and that's about it fellas. Enjoy and don't upgrade.

Why can't sony just let us be. We pay a lot of money for something we should be able to do whatever we want.

yea,we did pay like 160-300 dollars for it so we should be able to mod it, it would make way more sence, and the FW 3.51 is gay as all hell.

I paid $500 for my psp got it like the 2nd day they came out.

Jeese. I just got mine a few months ago for $170 but still. Dagum Sony, I want to do what I want with my psp.... And where do they get the numbering system from? Dagum buttholes.

But, as long as you are smart and don't upgrade... it looks like you are good right now.

on second thought Sony is right, we shouldn't be abusing the things they created, i respect them and I'm going to upgrade my PSP to 3.51 wright now.

I love how 3.50 was supposed to be "unhackable" and Noobz managed to get a downgrader out for it in a couple weeks!

Yea im sure Noobz will come out with a downgrader for 3.51 or higher soon. O well Sony will never learn.

Its not that Sony doesnt want us to be able to use homebrew and other capabilities...its that if they do allow us the game developers wont make any money and in result wont do business with sony...end result no games developed for us to play. So they gotta do what they can to make the developers happy/profitable.

Why can't they allow us to do everything except play iso's? I think that would be awesome. Still wouldn't upgrade though but it would be cooler.

They could, and should....but would you really give up the free iso's to pay $20-$60 for a brand new umd?

Oo I didn't say I would, but if I were to get another psp I would keep it up to date with Sony's firmware (if they let me play homebrew :p). And for all the nubs that are scared to downgrade they could have homebrew too. Just not iso's.
