Trying to upgrade from 3.40 OE to Sony 3.50

I am trying to run a test and upgrade from the CF of 3.40 OE-A to Sony's 3.50 FW.
I am having problems with a couple of PSPs that lock up when I click on the HOME
button to fix the screen size after I start a PSONE game. I keep getting Data Corrupted
or Game cannot be started, when I try to update to this latest firmware. I also tried
1.50,2.71, and 3.40 with the same results. Any suggestions??

Downgrade to 1.50 first than upgrade to whatever firmware you want.

What downgrader?? I can get into the recovery mode but every firmware
I have tried says it is corrupted. I do not know what I can do to get to
version 1.50 or any other firmware. Is there anything in the 3.40 OE that
prevents FW changes??

it says the 1.50 cannot be started because you have to make a recovery folder on your memory stick and place the appropriate files inside it....anyways you can download the recovery winstaller here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/460892 just run it and it will place everything where it needs to go. Then boot up your recovery mode and run the 1.50 recovery...its the 3rd option from the top.

I have a folder for recovery on the memory disk pointing to the
folder PSP\GAME\RECOVERY. The FW I have allows you to boot
into the recovery menu by holding down the right trigger. I have
tried placing multiple firmwares into that folder and I cannot get
any of them to load. This is where my problem is and I need to
get fixed.
