Calm Wave - Supashay91

Renderless, Brushless Wave tutorial!

Final Product:
Image

Okay so lets start of with making a new documentor whatever it is, i'm gonna use 400X150 but you can make it any size you want, make sure to make th background white, not transparent.

Okay now pull your your gradient tool and use these settings:
Image

okay now the fun part, go CRAZY with the gradient tool, just keep on making lines and stff ya know, until you get something like this:
Image

now go to Filter>Blur>Radial Blur> and use these settings:
Image
now go to Filter>Pixelate>Mezzoint and use the Fine Dots setting

now redo the Radial Blur about 3 or 4 times and you'll be back to this:
Image

ok now duplicate that layer and call it "1" you can call it whatever you want but it's easier to just call it "1" so that you can keep track, repeat the duplicate layers as many times as you want, i'm going to do it about 5 times so my last layer is called "5":
Image

ok, now go back to "1" and go to Filter>Distort>Wave and use these settings(default):
Image

you can click randomize a couple times until you find something you like, then ok it, now dulpicate that layer and call it "1 Copy"(default) again to keep track now tale "1 Copy" and go to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal

now continue to repeat the wave effect and randomize it so that it's different every layer and then make a copy of the layer of it, and flip it.

Your layers should now be like this:
Image

now go the the top layer and change the blending from Normal to Lighten, do this to all the flayers, now delete your original Layer not "1" but the layer that came before that, now you have your design just merge all the layers togehter, I know that theres a way to merge them all at once but I just kept on pressing Ctrl+E lol so now you should have 1 layer with the pattern:
Image

now lets add some color either press Ctrl+U or go down ,in your layers box, to the picture of ther half black and half white circle and click "Hue/Satturation", now click the "Colorize" box and mess with the colors, heres what I got:
Image

now merge the Hue/Satturation layer down into the pattern layer and VIOLA! your pattern is done!

again this will be different with everybody so try to experiment with the numbers a bit!

try it out and post what you come up with! Happy trails!
