Best way to rip a UMD to play off memory stick???

Im looking for a good way to do this....any suggestions....i used fast loader and it didnt work on 1.5 so.... :) Thanks for the input. o yeah i just upgraded to 3.03 oe-c if that makes any differece to your comments

there are a few ways to do it. I am most familiar with the Dax Dumper but there are also ways to rip it wirelessly and also through USB (for games that are larger than the memory stick you are using and you don't want to join them together later).

If you have say... a 1gb ms pro duo and the game is 1.12gb... you could probably take some files out or dummy some files in the ISO to make it fit. Also, if you have to rip it in two parts/ three parts etc. you can use the program UMDGEN 4.0 to combine the parts and make it into a usable ISO.

well the last time I used the dumper was on firmware 1.50 but I would think that it still works.

thanks again for the info, im gonna look that prog up now and try it out :) i did manage to get one iso that i dl when i have the 1.5 to work on the new FW so im optimistic :)

just remember that if the file type is .dax format that it will not work in the custom firmwares. It's easy to convert it but it isn't really an issue b/c it's hard to find them in .dax anymore anyways.
