Clarify for me - when you say "the arrow still goes to the bottom of the screen" are you meaning that the cursor in the web browser is uncontrollable and keeps moving downwards? If so, that arrow is controlled by the analog stick and if the stick isn't jammed/ held down etc. then you WILL need to replace the stick itself for games/ features that have analog interactivity.

Moreover, I think you should remove the faceplate and really get a good cleaning w/ compressed air (use caution also). I would also try to reinstall the firmware to make sure that it isn't just a corrupt file that is creating your error(s).

Thank you. Just let me know how it works for you. If it doesn't, I'd have to suggest to do as light alistor suggests, and just replace it. It isn't a very hard fix.

Well, whatever works for you then I guess. Unfortunate that you have to cough a little money up, but I'd think it's worth it.
