3.80 Slim --> ?

Hey guys, I have a Dark Vader slim PSP, it has firmware 3.80 on it. I only bought it with thoughts of hacking it. I could say I'm pretty good with tech stuff but I need some of you PSP gurus to help me out, all I want to do is play "legally" downloaded games on my PSP.

Thanks.

Well you'll need to use the 'Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick' Method.
This is basically a modded Battery and Memory stick that when put together, enable you to downgrade your OFW to either 1.50 or a high CFW. On the front page is the most up to date version and I used it here recently and it works great.

However, in order to make this 'Pandora's battery and Magic Memory Stick' you need a psp that can run homebrew since the pandora installer is a homebrew app. So basically you need a psp that has CFW on it in order to make the battery.

Do you happen to know anyone with CFW or a very low firmware psp?
Well if you don't, you can either buy yourself a set off ebay or something, or you can use This Tutorial to make your own Battery w/o CFW by opening it up and soldering a pin. And you can use your computer to make the Memory Stick files.

Yeah. trust me. You don't want to see me solder anything. You should have seen me trying to solder LEDs to my 360 controller!

Would you happen to know any good ebay sellers? And I'm gonna have to read up a bit more on this magic memory stick thing.

Thanks man.

If you're willing to ship to Japan you could send me your battery and I could install a switch, making your battery switchable between pandora and regular function. Or if you pay for me to pick up a new battery I could do the same mod and send it to you. That way if anything were to happen to your psp you would be able to fix it yourself.

Don't want to sound like a dick or anything. But I'm not to interested in shipping to Japan. Thanks for the offer though.

I have a Magic Battery and Memory Stick for sell. I am on Ebay as figzx. I have not listed the item yet but if you are interested we can do the deal without listing it. I am asking $50. That is fair considering the battery costs $20 the 1 GB stick is about $20 and then an extra $10 to cover shipping. I will even ship it priority mail. It will work with a slim as I have used it on mine and NO problems what so ever. Let me know.
