First post, I have studied...will this work?

If I went to a store today and purchased a brand new PSP slim Daxter pack I would need a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick in order to run custom firmware.

I do NOT have access to a PSP that has custom firmware already installed on it. So in order to make a Pandora battery I will use this on the battery that came with my brand new PSP: http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/PSP- ... 00530.aspx (Datel battery service tool)

I have a laptop running windows XP and to make the magic memory stick I would need a memory stick pro duo reader like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820163303 and I would download TOTALNewbi easyInstaller and use that on the memory stick pro duo that came with the PSP.

Am I close? Any other tips appreciated, thanks in advance.

yes, but if you get the Datel Service Tool then you dont need to do anything to your new battery that came with your new psp.

It appears to be a new item on the psp homebrew scene, the 'battery service tool' that converts your current battery to a service one is the one I mean. Not the 'tool battery' that they also market on the codejunkies site.

Idk bro, id say you should do a little more research on this thing. cause just when you think your safe, your in a sugar coated
hell.

plus, if you look at the price tag, its 20 bucks just like every one on tv trying 2 sell you stuff.

could be a scam.

and what they might not tell you is that once you put it into service mode, you'll probly have a bunch of problems.

so i would sugest you try 2 find some one else thats done it first, just to be safe. :)

Actually, that product works. I have done 3 psp's with that thing. You just put in the battery and press the button, then poof, its a pandora. Not all simple $20 items are s**t.
This is a sig. You may think that there is something to it, but in fact it is just an ordinary sig.

Excellent ninja, thanks for the first hand account on the datel battery service tool. Now will I need a usb memory stick pro duo reader to make the magic stick on my laptop or is it possible to use the usb mode on the PSP while it's connected to the computer? Thanks.
