Is a 1.50 kernel add-on needed for firmware 3.80 m33?

If one is needed, would someone kindly share a link to where one may be able to easily acquire such a thing? A forum user, SeeJay, has been having difficulties running emulators on his PSP and I'm wondering if this could be at the center of his problems. He says he can change it to the 1.50 kernel in recovery mode, though. I've been stumped for a few days.

well has he tryed to put them in the game380 folder he may just have emulators written to run off the 3.xx kernel i wold change the kernel back to run game from the 3.80 kernel or he can use the 1.50 update if he has a fat psp. but try changing the folders first some times the easy awnser is the wright awnser
