help one make my psp to play download games

just bought a slim silver psp... I want to know how to make the firmware to play download game. Someone told me update my psp to m33, but I didn't know how. Can some one teach me step by step. I am very new for psp, I am sure there is some pro here to teach me. Thanks...

I would recommend you first read these two post located in the tutorials sections and when you get a little understanding of this stuff then I can give you directions to installing custom firmware which allows you to run homebrew games...

also im guessing you have only one psp so you are going to need a pandora battery(hardmodd a psp battery) or a datel tool battery(premodded battery which you can buy) and a magic ms(memory stick which had certain stuff to put custom firmware(m33) on it.

here it tells you how to do it http://pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11076

hope that helps

What do you mean "cfw"? My mate can play the game download from the internet. Is this what you mean?

cfw means customfirmware and if u go to system settings and look at ur firmware version it'll have say I have 3.90 m33. that would be the custom firmware

If you do not have access to a psp already running a custom firmware (i.e. it has the official Sony firmware and hasn't been hacked) then my tutorial on installing custom firmware with 1 psp is the ONLY way to put custom firmware on your psp.

Without custom firmware you can NOT play games off your memory stick, use emulators, etc...
