I am not an expert, but when this happens, I just think the ISO or CSO is corrupted. Unless there is a way to fix it?

For the record, what is your firmware?

It might just be your firmware. I think that games firmware requirement is 3.80. Just update to 3.80m33.

Do you know if there is a compability list of games that work with certain FWs? Like for instance NFS ProStreet works with what FW?

Well I dont know but the best thing to do is go to your local game store and just start looking at the back of all the game boxes. Just upgrade to a higher custom firmware thats even better so you dont have to worry so much about the firmware of the game.
*edit* For instance lets say you have cfw 3.90m33, this will let you play any psp game thats within that range and lower.

Thanks for the info. I did find a good site to figure out the compatibility issue. Now I know why I can't load up that game plus Wipeout Pulse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pl ... tibilities

I am currently on CFW 3.52 M33-4, so in order to get on those games, I must upgrade my CFW. Damn.. was afraid of that--I heard CFW 3.90 has issues or bugs.

I also heard that one was a bit buggy. Like a pspbrew.com user reverted back to 3.52, because of an issue. What are you currently using?

I am on 3.52 M33-4, i haven't had a single problem i couldn't fix and I haven't played any fairly new UMD games so I haven't needed to update. But I have heard that 3.71 M33-4 was overall quite stable, that or 3.80 M33 something. But which game are you wanting to play that requires you to update?

Orginal author of this topic wants to play Patapon--which requires FW 3.71

I want to play NFS ProStreet (requires FW 3.73) and Wipeout Pulse (requires FW 3.71) According to this compability list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pl ... tibilities

Thanks. I am waiting for psp-hacks to get back online so I can get the files I need.

Question: If I later don't like the newest CFWs, can I go back to 3.52? If so, how?
