I didn't read everything, but I noticed that as well, rather I noticed that it depends on what was installed when, so it probably depends on the modification date of the file.

Thanks, if you read a bit further we were taught how to fix that. Pretty neat!

Like how Mr. Bean says, "Gracias"

I swear I've never noticed it before that it was already there.

so if say you wanted to play like mario, instead of going to the emulator and then loading the game, you would just click the a mario icon in the memory stick and it would load both the emu and game

I didn't notice it before, but what you have suggested would also be a cool trick. Many times I let friends burrow my PSP, and they don't know what to do when they have to jump EMUs and load up the different ROMs. They are just so clueless--so I am sure this new wish list feature would definitely come in handy.

This idea has been juggled many times, and I'm sorry to say that you aren't the first to think of it. The reason you don't see something made like this is pretty much a twofold issue.

1. It's hard to tinker with Sony's stuff, like adding plugins and things, and not break a law. An entire hacked firmware (from the ground up) would have to be made in order for that to happen.

2. I have over 1,000 Atari roms on my PSP. Do I really like the idea of scrolling through that many things? - no. Also take into account that if those things ever got out of order... I mean, what sounds like a decent idea on the outside just doesn't work in a more applied setting.

I've thought of this too. The only thing I could come up with would be
to make save states of an app,
or create a psp firmware %75 from scratch.

I personally like the latter.

As far as I'm concerned the PSP is a computer and if I decide to run a homemade OS on a Compaq PC there isn't anything Compaq can do is there?
