hey i was wondering, when you go to Game and your memory card on your psp and your list of homebrew comes up. is it possible to change things in this?

like for instance, my first thing to show on the memory card is NesterJ and beside the picture of it, it says "NesterJ NES Emulator 1.11" is it possible to change this? can you change the text of this stuff? and also can you change the picture that is there?

just would like to change that stuff around, cause some of it looks bad, my GBC says "Homer's RIN" which is lame, would rather it say "Gameboy Color"

thanks

You can use PSPBrew v.90 To modify the eboot inside your homebrew to have custom background music, background image, icon1.pmf video and the name of the eboot that shows in the xmb.

It should, all you are doing is modifying the Eboot file :). And since your using a slim I'm guessing you aren't using 1.50 homebrew.
But if you where, you would need to modify the Eboot file in the folder with the %.

All you do is start up the program then load the Eboot and then load the specific files that you can use to customize the Eboot.

Thanks wolf, I am about to try this out with Daudelous (hate their bland out XMB icon). I did discover that there is a newer update to PSPBrew it's v91 and it supports folders GAME150 and so on.. more details here: http://www.stefanorussello.it/

Update.. awesome! It works great.

Here is what I did for the EMU Daedalus:

  1. After I installed PSPbrew v91. I enabled the USB connection on my PSP.
  2. on PSPBrew clicked on Load PBP.
  3. Located the PBP file from my PSP/GAME150/Daedalus%
  4. I then went to this site http://www.riotsgraph.jp/pochistyle/n64.html and downloaded an icon to a temp folder in my computer.
  5. on PSPBrew clicked on Main Icon button to browse to this temp folder where I downloaded the icon I downloaded from that site.
  6. on PSPBrew I then pressed SAVE PBP and I allowed it to replace the old one on my PSP.
  7. Voila! It now changed the icon!

I plan to play around with the background images and also add some audio.. but at least the above small tute should help. Thanks AventWolf!! You are the man!! You also answered a similar question I asked here in this thread: http://pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=101135
