I'm runnin on custom firmware 3.51 m33.... question!!

ok so i used to have ver. 1.50 but i was sick on tired of not being able to play some of my games so i upgraded to custom firmware 3.51 m33. Now for my question... how come my emulators no longer work? do i need special emulators for that firmware? because i used to use nesterj and dgen but now when i go to start them up it seems like its about to boot up then it it goes back to the home page with an error message saying "the game could not be started (80020148)" if anyone out there can help me that would be great.. i'm guessing its somethin small cause everything else works fine.

go into recovery, then under configuration change Game folder homebrew to the opposite of whatever it is now.

sorry dude lol i might sound stupid but i don't exactly know what u mean... where is recovery? and what do you mean by change the folder to the opposite of whatever it is now.... can u take me step by step? beggining with how to get to recovery, thanks man

1. Turn your PSP completely off.. then turn it back on while holding the right shoulder button.
2. This black screen with red writing is recovery mode. Go to configuration.
3. Go down to "Game folder homebrew" and hit X
4. Then go back and then exit.
5. Try and run your homebrew again.
