Pandora Battery Compatibility

I found a friend who has a Pandora, but its a lite battery. Can I use it along with his magic memory stick to downgrade a fat 3.95?
What parts can I use/not use?

i know you can use a phat battery in a lite, but im not certain if it works the other way as well
...i should have wings by now...
